Blueberry Creek Community School has always been the heart of the community and the gathering place for families.
Working together with local agencies and various partners, we provide a neighborhood hub which focusses on early childhood develpment, literacy, child care and family strengthening programs. The utilization of public buildings to co-locate a variety of learning and social programs, enables us to provide cost effective and convenient options for local families.
We believe that children do well when families do well and families do well when they live in supportive communities. Connecting kids to their community fosters a sense of belonging. We make a difference at the individual level, one person at a time.

Collectively, BCHLA members capture the attention of over 40,000 volunteers, 4,300 health and recreation professionals, and 184 local governments across British Columbia. We are reaching out to and mobilizing our network to achieve these targets. As an advocacy group, we are working with government and holding them accountable to promote wellness and prevent chronic disease.
